What is Slopes & Spirits and why are real estate professionals in Denver talking about it?
Slopes & Spirits was a winter kickoff networking event built for real estate pros who love the mountains, good conversation, and community that feels real. It combined ski and snowboard waxing, drinks, and an easy après ski vibe that made connections happen naturally.
A Different Kind of Real Estate Networking Event
I’ve been around a lot of real estate events over the years. Panels, happy hours, mixers, classes. They all have their place. But I kept coming back to one thought. What if networking didn’t feel forced?
That’s where Slopes & Spirits came from.
The goal was simple. Create an environment where real estate professionals could hang out, talk shop if they wanted to, or just talk skiing, snowboarding, and winter in Colorado. No pressure. No name tags dominating the room. Just shared interests and good energy.
Why Winter Events Matter in the Real Estate Community
Winter can feel like a slowdown for a lot of agents, but I actually think it’s one of the best times to lean into relationships. Fewer distractions. Fewer events competing for attention. More meaningful conversations.
Colorado real estate professionals live here for a reason. The mountains matter. Ski season matters. So building an event around that lifestyle made sense.
Slopes & Spirits wasn’t about leads. It was about connection. And ironically, that’s usually what leads to the strongest business relationships anyway.
On-Site Ski and Snowboard Waxing Was the Icebreaker
One of my favorite parts of the night was watching skis and snowboards get waxed while conversations happened organically around the tuning benches.
People asked questions. They shared favorite runs. They talked about upcoming trips. That kind of environment breaks down walls fast.
Even if someone showed up just for the waxing, they stayed for the conversations. If they came for the drinks, they learned something about gear. It all blended together exactly how we hoped it would.
The Après Ski Vibe Made Networking Feel Natural
We leaned hard into the après ski feel. Casual. Relaxed. No rushing. Drinks in hand, winter jackets nearby, and that post mountain energy even though we were still in the city.
That vibe matters. When people feel comfortable, they open up. They talk about business challenges, market shifts, and opportunities without feeling like they’re pitching or being pitched to.
That’s the kind of networking that lasts.
A Huge Thank You to Everyone Who Showed Up
Events only work when the right people show up, and the Slopes & Spirits crowd absolutely delivered. The energy in the room was exactly what I was hoping for.
Agents, lenders, industry partners. All different backgrounds and experience levels, all there for the same reason. Community over competition.
Those nights are always a reminder of why I love working in this industry.
Shoutout to Rocket Lister for the Recap Video
Big thanks to Rocket Lister for filming and editing the recap video. Having partners who consistently support events like this and help capture the energy makes a huge difference.
That recap wasn’t just a highlight reel. It captured the feel of the night, which is hard to do unless you really understand the audience.
Why Community-Driven Events Matter More Than Ever
The real estate industry has changed a lot. Marketing has changed. Technology has changed. But relationships are still the foundation.
Community-driven events like Slopes & Spirits are about playing the long game. They create trust. They create familiarity. They create real connections that don’t disappear when the market shifts.
I truly believe that when you bring good people together in the right environment, everything else takes care of itself.
More Creative Real Estate Events Are Coming
This is just the beginning. I’m committed to hosting more events that feel different. Events that reflect how real estate professionals actually live and work in Colorado.
If you’re tired of the same old networking formula, you’re exactly who these events are for.
More details coming soon.

Final Takeaway
Slopes & Spirits proved something I’ve believed for a long time. When networking feels natural, it works better. When events reflect real lifestyles, people show up. And when community comes first, business follows.
If you were there, thank you for making it such a great night. If you missed it, don’t worry. We’re just getting started.
