The Rocky Start

When I began, I faced three huge challenges:

I didn’t know any real estate agents.

I had no idea what to say to them.

I felt completely lost in what I was doing.

For the first two years, I struggled. I’ll admit, there were times I wanted to throw in the towel. But instead of quitting, I decided to lean into discomfort and keep trying new approaches.

What Didn’t Work (At First)

Here’s what I tried—and struggled with—in those early days:

📞 Cold Calling: Dialing agents who didn’t know me and hoping for a positive response.🤝

Networking Events: Attending mixers where I often felt invisible in a sea of professionals.👥

BNI & Mastermind Groups: Valuable in theory but challenging to build traction early on.

🏢 Pop-By’s: Stopping into real estate offices, often with little more than hope and a business card.

📚 Teaching Classes: My first few classes were sparsely attended (think one or two agents showing up).

It was tough, but through trial and error, I discovered something surprising: I loved teaching.

The Turning Point: Embracing My Passion for Teaching

Though it was intimidating at first, I found a groove teaching classes. I enjoyed sharing valuable marketing strategies with agents and helping them grow their businesses. Over time, this passion became a cornerstone of my career.

Last week, I had the opportunity to teach an incredible class at Great Way Real Estate. The topic?

How to Stay Top-of-Mind with Facebook & Instagram Ads for Just $1/Day

💡 Social media marketing doesn’t have to be expensive to be effective. In this class, I taught agents how to leverage $1/day Facebook and Instagram ads to stay top-of-mind with:

✔️ Their Sphere of Influence✔️ Social Media Followers✔️ Neighbors and Farm Areas

The strategy is simple yet powerful, and best of all, it’s budget-friendly. With just a few clicks, agents can position themselves as the go-to resource in their market.

Why This Strategy Works

Running $1/day ads works because:

  1. It Keeps You Visible: Even with a small budget, consistent exposure helps you stay on clients’ minds.

  2. It’s Affordable: Perfect for agents who are just starting or looking to maximize ROI.

  3. It Builds Relationships: By showing up in feeds regularly, you build trust and familiarity with your audience.

This approach is a game-changer for real estate professionals looking to grow their brand without breaking the bank.

A Huge Thank You

🙏 A big thank you to Great Way Real Estate for inviting me to teach this class and to all the amazing agents who attended. Your energy and enthusiasm made it such a rewarding experience.

My Advice to New Title Reps and Real Estate Professionals

If you’re struggling in your role—whether it’s breaking into sales, building your network, or finding your niche—remember this:

  • Lean into discomfort. Growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone.

  • Keep experimenting. Success doesn’t come from doing one thing perfectly; it comes from trying many things and learning what works.

  • Discover what you love. Once you find your passion, the hard work becomes meaningful.

For me, teaching classes became the thing that brought everything together. And if I can go from stumbling my way into this role to teaching packed rooms of agents, you can too.
