You’re not alone.
As real estate agents, we’ve got video content ideas for days - but when it comes time to post, that blinking cursor in the caption box can be brutal.
What do I write?
How do I make it engaging?
Should I include hashtags, emojis, a hook?
Here’s the solution I’ve been using - and it’s a total game changer. If you’re already editing your videos in CapCut on your desktop, you’re just a few clicks away from letting ChatGPT write your captions for you.
Let me show you how it works.
Step 1: Export Your Captions From CapCut
Once you’ve finished editing your video in CapCut, simply:
Click “Export” and choose your video format.
At the same time, select “Export Captions as .TXT File.”
This gives you a clean text file with every word you said in your video. Think of it like a transcript - but way faster and easier to generate than transcribing manually.
Pro Tip: Make sure you’ve used auto-captions inside CapCut before exporting. It’s fast and pretty accurate.
Step 2: Paste Your Captions Into ChatGPT
Now that you’ve got your .txt file, here’s the magic move:
Open ChatGPT.
Paste in the text from your video.
Type something like:
Why This Workflow Works So Well for Real Estate Agents
Let’s be real. Content creation is hard enough. Captions are often the reason agents procrastinate or avoid posting altogether.
But using this method:
You don’t waste time writing from scratch
You get captions in your voice, because the transcript came from you
You get platform-specific copy without overthinking it
It keeps your content consistent and professional
You save HOURS every week on social media marketing
What Platforms Does This Work For?
This method works for just about every platform where you’re sharing video:
Instagram (Feed, Reels, Stories)
Facebook
YouTube (description + title)
LinkedIn
TikTok
Pinterest Idea Pins
And with tools like Repurpose.io, you can schedule and post those AI-generated captions across all platforms in just a few clicks.
Let ChatGPT Learn Your Style Over Time
The more you use this workflow, the better ChatGPT gets at sounding like you.
You can even paste in a few of your past captions and say:
“Here’s my style. Write future captions that match this tone.”
Now you're building a personal brand and staying efficient.
Work Smarter, Not Slower
If you’re serious about using video to grow your real estate business - but the caption writing always slows you down - this is your sign to streamline your workflow.
Talk on camera.
Export what you said.
Let AI do the rest.
Once you try this, you’ll never stare at a blank caption box again.
