How I Actually Get Real Estate Agents to Show Up to Classes and Events

How do you host real estate classes and events and actually get agents to show up?

I keep it simple, consistent, and scalable, and Eventbrite plays a huge role in that strategy.

Recently, I was invited on the Mortgage Marketing Radio with Geoff Zimpfer, and we dug into a question I get all the time. Not just how I host classes, but how I get real estate agents to actually RSVP and attend.

I want to break down exactly what I shared on the show, because this is something Realtors can use immediately for classes, open houses, broker opens, and client events.

The Biggest Mistake Agents Make With Events

Most agents overthink events.

They spend time stressing about the topic, the food, the venue, or whether it is worth doing at all. The reality is this: if people do not know about your event or do not trust the source, none of that matters.

Attendance is not about perfection. It is about distribution and consistency.

Why I Rely on Eventbrite for Event Promotion

I am a big fan of Eventbrite because it removes friction.

You can start for free, set up an event quickly, and most importantly, promote it without needing complicated tech or expensive software.

Here is what makes it powerful.

Free Plan That Actually Works

With a free Eventbrite account, you can send up to 250 promotional emails per day.

That alone is enough for most agents to:

  • Promote an open house

  • Invite agents to a broker open

  • Host a lunch and learn

  • Run an educational workshop

  • Invite past clients to an event

The emails feel more like event invites than marketing blasts, which helps with open rates and engagement.

Easy Upgrade When You Are Ready to Scale

When you are ready to go bigger, Eventbrite offers an upgrade for around $20 per month that allows you to send up to 2,000 emails per day.

This is where things really start to compound.

That upgrade is one of the best returns on investment I have found for reaching agents who do not already know me. It allows me to stay consistent without relying on social media algorithms or paid ads.

Why This Works So Well for Reaching New Agents

One of the biggest takeaways from the podcast conversation was this.

Eventbrite emails get opened.

Agents are used to receiving event invites through Eventbrite, so they are less likely to ignore them. These emails do not feel like sales emails. They feel like opportunities.

Over time, this creates:

  • Familiarity with your name

  • Trust in your value

  • Momentum for future events

I see agents show up to classes who have never met me before, simply because they have seen my name consistently in Eventbrite invites.

How Realtors Can Use This Same Strategy

This is not just for title reps or lenders.

If you are a Realtor, you can use this exact same system to promote:

Open Houses

Create an Eventbrite for your open house, invite your database, and invite nearby agents. It positions the open house as an event, not just a showing.

Broker Opens

Instead of texting agents one by one, send a professional invite that includes details, time, and location, and track RSVPs automatically.

Client Events

Client appreciation nights, homebuyer seminars, or neighborhood events work better when they feel organized and intentional.

Educational Workshops

If you teach buyers or sellers about the market, financing, or investing, Eventbrite helps you look credible and professional without extra effort.

Learn how I host real estate classes and events and consistently get agents to show up. I break down my Eventbrite email strategy, free and paid options, and how Realtors can use it to promote open houses, broker opens, and educational events.

My Simple Event Promotion Framework

Here is the framework I follow every time.

  1. Create a clear event with a strong title and description

  2. Upload relevant contacts to Eventbrite

  3. Send consistent email invites leading up to the event

  4. Keep showing up, even if the first few events are small

The magic is not in one event. It is in repetition.

Final Takeaway

Getting people to show up is not about hype. It is about making it easy for them to say yes. Eventbrite has been one of the most effective tools I have used to grow attendance, build relationships, and stay top of mind with real estate agents who did not know me yet. If you want help setting this up, or you want to talk through how this could work for your business, reach out. I am always happy to walk through what is working in real time.
