How to Build a Brand Kit in Claude So Every Report Looks Like You

How do you get Claude to make reports that look like your brand instead of a generic template?

Build a brand kit once. It is a small Claude skill that holds your colors, fonts, logo, contact block and writing voice. Every report skill checks for it first, so your CMAs, seller updates and market reports all come out looking like you. About 15 minutes, one time.

Download the Brand Kit Builder

Credit where it's due: the brand board this skill builds is inspired by Kristi Jencks's brand kit work for agents using Claude. She laid the foundation, and I adapted it for the Colorado listing skills in my kit.

Why the brand kit comes first

Every skill in my kit starts with the same check: is there a brand kit? If there is, Claude uses your colors, fonts, logo and voice without asking. If there isn't, you either answer the same five brand questions every single time, or you get a plain default that looks like everyone else's AI report.

Fifteen minutes once is the difference between a report that looks homemade and one that looks like it came from your marketing team.

The fast track: drag in your past work

If you build in Canva or anywhere else, you already have a brand. You just haven't written it down.

Export 5 to 10 of your best recent pieces, like past CMAs, listing flyers and social posts, as PDFs or images, and drag them into the brand kit chat along with your website link. Claude reads every file and pulls out your colors with hex codes, your fonts (or the closest free match), and the layout habits that repeat, like where your logo sits and how you show stats.

Don't know your hex codes? Just upload your logo. Claude pulls the colors right off it.

What you need

  • Your website or a social profile link

  • Your logo (a PNG with a transparent background is best) and a headshot

  • Your brokerage's brand rules, if it has them

  • Two or three texts or emails you've actually sent clients, so Claude learns how you talk

  • Optional but worth it: 5 to 10 past CMAs, flyers or posts

How to set it up

  1. Download the Brand Kit Builder skill from the link above.

  2. In the Claude desktop app, click Customize, then Skills. Click + Add, choose Upload skill, and drop in the .md file.

  3. Open a new chat and type: Set up my brand kit. Then drag in your logo, headshot, past marketing and website link.

  4. Answer the few questions Claude still has: title, phone, brokerage firm name, and how you want to come across.

  5. Review the brand board. Tell Claude what to change until it looks like you.

  6. Save the my-brand-kit skill Claude creates. Every report skill reads it from now on.

What the brand board shows you

Before anything is saved, Claude builds a one-page brand board so you can see it:

  • Your color swatches with hex codes and what each one is for

  • Your heading and body fonts in a sample sentence

  • Your logo, headshot and contact block exactly as they'll appear on reports

  • A sample stat box and small chart in your colors

  • A short paragraph written in your voice

It also runs a contrast check on every color pair, so nothing you send a seller is hard to read on a phone.

Four rules for a brand kit that looks expensive

  1. Start with your past work. Your website plus a handful of past pieces beats starting from scratch.

  2. Three colors. One dark, one light, one accent.

  3. Two free fonts. One for headings, one for everything else.

  4. See it before you save it. Always review the brand board first.

And check your brokerage's brand rules first. Colorado requires your brokerage firm name on advertising, so the brand kit puts it in your contact block automatically.

Do this first: bring your context over

If you're moving from ChatGPT, do one thing before the brand kit: bring over everything it already knows about you. Your brand kit covers how everything looks. Your context covers how you think and talk. Click here for the two prompts that move it over.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Canva or a designer for this?

No. If you have past designs, they speed things up. If you don't, Claude can pull colors from your logo or website, or suggest three palettes to pick from.

Will my brokerage's rules be followed?

Tell Claude your brokerage's requirements and it builds the kit inside them. Your brokerage name always goes in the contact block.

Can I change it later?

Yes. Open a chat, say what you want to change, and ask Claude to update your my-brand-kit skill.
